MISSION MAGAZINE

EDITORIAL DESIGN INTERNSHIP

SPRING 2025

Mission Magazine is a non-profit publication that aims to shine a spotlight on marginalized creators within the fashion, art, and beauty communities. Their goal is to engage socially conscious people and companies through the lens of fashion to help those in need. Mission is not only about giving back, but also about educating and bringing awareness to the causes it will highlight every six months, as well as inspiring a global community to make a difference.

As the editorial design intern, I worked on spreads for Issue #13 "Women of Today," and created promotional content for Issue #12, "The New Order." I worked closely with the founder of the publication, Karina Givargissoff, to revise brand guidelines, organize internal information and communication for photoshoots and features, and create ideas for Issue #13.

Side-by-side image: left side features a graphic design with a large stylized letter 'F' and text about singer-songwriter Faye Webster, and right side shows a black and white photo of a young woman with shoulder-length hair, wearing a sleeveless top with a tied shirt around her waist, standing outdoors near a body of water with trees in the background.
A black and white photograph of a woman with blonde hair, smiling with her eyes closed, wearing a white shirt and a black tie.
A painting of a woman with short black hair, wearing long black gloves, sitting on a person lying down, against a yellow, green, and gray striped background.
Fashion photoshoot with models showcasing designer outfits against smoky backgrounds. The left model wears checked capri pants and a checked shirt with a hood, while the right model wears a black jacket, skirt, and mini handbag, both in stylish poses.
